Cell Biology: Fundamentals And Applications (pb)
ABOUT THE BOOK The cell forms the fundamental basis of all the biological sciences and life. The cell biology is the fastest growing branch of science since tremendous addition of knowledge takes place in per unit time. There is a great deal of heterogeneity in the syllabi on cell biology of different Indian universities. To fulfill the needs of students from different corners of the country and expansion in the field of cell biology, we had planned to translate our dreams in the form of the present book. The book has been divided into six sections (I to VI). Section-I deals with cell diversity and the techniques employed for unfolding the mysteries of the cell. Section II covers all the cellular organelles. Sections III and Section V include chemistry and metabolism of cell. Cell division has been included in Section IV. Section VI is a miscellaneous section covering a wide range of topics such as cell and tissue culture, cellular aging, immunity, genetic engineering and neoplasia.
