Dr. K. SUGANYA, Associate Professor (Environmental Sciences), serving at Forest  College & Research Institute, Mettupalayam, Tamil Nadu Agricultural University. She has teaching and research experience of 15 years in the field of Environmental Sciences. She has handled more than 20 Under-graduate and 12 Post-graduate courses in Environmental Sciences. Being a dynamic individual, she has incomparable knowledge in the field of Environmental sciences with specialization in waste water recycling and treatment, and phyto-remediation of contaminated soils. She has obtained and operated various externally funded research projects from various central and state funding agencies viz., DST, DBT, State Planning Commission. She is well known for her exceptional communication skills and vibrant in delivering lectures in an effective manner for the benefit of student’s and farming community. She has also developed phyto-remediation technology using Vetiver grass for managing the industrially contaminated soils and for sustaining soil health. She has published 40 research papers in in well reputed national and international journals with good citation for her research papers. She has presented more than 50 papers in national and international conferences/symposiums, and published 15 book chapters, 4 books and 18 popular articles.
