Extension And Agribusiness: Innovations, Opportunities And Empowerment NEW
The book Extension and Agribusiness: Innovations, Opportunities,
and Empowerment explores the evolving agricultural landscape shaped by
technological advancements, consumer demands, and sustainable development
imperatives. It begins with a case study from Jaipur District on polyhouse
cultivation, highlighting its impact on farmers incomes and livelihoods. The
book emphasizes the importance of education in agribusiness management to
prepare future leaders for the industry.
It addresses market opportunities and challenges,
particularly within the organic dairy and food sectors, and discusses the
significance of value chain management and digital marketing. Extension
education, especially through institutions like Krishi Vigyan Kendras (KVKs),
plays a crucial role in technology transfer and vocational training for rural
communities.
The empowerment of rural women via self-help groups
and the involvement of NGOs in sustainable food security is also highlighted.
Additionally, the text presents innovative approaches such as precision
agriculture, agritourism, and organic livestock farming, while concluding with
discussions on animal disease management and rural development implications.
Overall, this comprehensive volume integrates research, case studies, and strategic analyses to serve as a valuable resource for students, educators, policymakers, and practitioners aiming to strengthen the agricultural sector and improve rural livelihoods.
