The management of pests includes other than chemical methods termed as Integrated Pest Management (IPM).

  Some of the omissions in the first edition like, plant quarantine mass production of fungal pathogen, storage pests, compatibility of pesticides, pesticide causing resurgence of sucking pests, invasive pests and their management etc have been added in the revised edition.
