Organic Farming And Soil Health Management For Sustainable Agriculture NEW
The book Organic Farming and Soil Health Management for Sustainable
Agriculture explores the vital role of organic farming in creating sustainable
food systems amid global challenges like climate change, soil degradation, and
food insecurity. It begins by highlighting the urgent need to transition to
organic practices, particularly within Indias agricultural landscape. The text
emphasizes the benefits of organic manure and bio-fertilizers in enhancing crop
production sustainably and illustrates how climate-resilient practices can
bolster agricultural growth and eco-friendly development.
A significant focus is placed on soil health,
discussing biological nitrogen fixation, organic inputs, and innovative
practices like vermicomposting to improve soil quality and agricultural
productivity, especially in arid regions. The book also analyzes the economic
implications of organic farming for Indias economy, providing insights into
fostering economic resilience and food security.
Additionally, it addresses the physiological aspects
of plant development and innovative disease management techniques, positioning
organic practices as essential for sustaining crop yields under challenging
conditions. Offering a blend of theoretical and practical insights, this
comprehensive volume serves as a roadmap for researchers, policymakers, and
practitioners committed to advancing sustainable agriculture globally. The
contributors expertise enriches the discussion, making this book a crucial
addition to the dialogue on organic farming and soil health management for a
sustainable agricultural future.
